The project was exhibited in 2016 at the Salon of Architecture, MPU in Belgrade in the interior category.
Short description:
The kindergarten project includes the reconstruction of three floors of the former administrative building and the construction of an annex to separate the different users within the building and provide comfortable vertical communication between the plot and the kindergarten.
The existing facade and exterior of the building have not been changed so as not to disturb the balance within the environment.
All existing interior elements have been eliminated to allow for bright and spacious rooms. Interior design is guided by the needs of the child, the colorful world, creativity and safety standards. It is based on the premise that space should function as a real engine for children's happiness, where curved lines flow in space, emphasizing the feeling of dynamic play. This approach was applied by transforming a rigid structural system (strong columns and beams) into framed, curved elements.
