The Bridge on Lepenica River in Batočina

Brief: The request of the investor is to form an arch structure on the existing pavement structure of the bridge.

The design solution is guided by the following guidelines:

• Arched construction is a modern and reduced design that would contribute to the aesthetic image of the small town,
• The arched structure is the benchmark for the entry position towards the center of the town,
• The arched structure is in accordance with the vertical regulation of the Batocina town and occupies a reduced volumetry

• The positioning of the arch structure outside the pavement of the bridge gives the impression of a wider, more comfortable space
• The radius of the arch of construction is in relation to the shape and radius of the river bed
• The fence is simple, semi-transparent to keep the emphasis on the arched structure
• The lighting adds to the aesthetic feel of the bridge
